June 18-19 2022, exhibiting silversmithing and jewellery making as part of a community group.

SCOTTISH MENTAL HEALTH ARTS FESTIVAL, ONLINE EVENTS & EXHIBITIONS

May 2021. After attending several planning group meetings during the year, I will be hosting an online Blackout Poetry workshop in association with Healthy Minds, a mental health charity in Dundee.

I will also have a new piece of work, Between The Lines, in the SMHAF online exhibition.

 

EASTERCON “CONFUSION”, ONLINE SCI-FI & FANTASY CONVENTION

April 2021. Panellist for a session discussing cosplay as a transformative work.

Presentation/workshop creating Blackout Poetry.

 

THE QUEER DOT, SYNCHRONICITY EXHIBITION, SCOTLAND/NORTHERN ENGLAND

Anticipated dates: May/June 2021. An open air exhibition of wheat pasted A4 works displayed in Glasgow, Dundee and Newcastle-upon-Tyne simultaneously. A work created for this show, Just Like Everybody Else, will appear. I was also invited to join the Queer Dot committee.

RESTRICTION, THE CORRESPONDENCE COLLECTIVE & CLAYHILL ARTS, SOMERSET

March 23 - April 6, 2021. Four new miniatures were produced for this exhibition displayed in vintage storage trays for letterpress type. On The Edge is a series which are a love letter to the cities I have lived in along the East Coast of Britain which I have been unable to visit due to Covid restrictions

 

OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND, SUMMER HALL, EDINBURGH

November 2020. After being involved with the planning group for this exhibition, Blanket Fort was displayed in the Summer Hall and the organisation’s first online exhibition

Panels displayed were The Staying Inn and a new piece, Solidarity With Kez, which is a response to a disabled student contracting Covid at Edinburgh University.

 

THE QUEER DOT, SLESSOR GARDENS EXHIBITION

August - October 2020. Open air billboard exhibition. Produced a haiku-based poster, Join The Resistance. A photograph of the exhibition was featured in the Dundee Courier.

 

BISEXUAL VISIBILITY DAY BILLBOARD, MULTIPLE LOCATIONS ACROSS ENGLAND

September 2020. Designed an image for electronic billboards in conjunction with an alliance of four charities: Biscuit, Bi Survivors’ Network, The Bisexual Index and Just Like Us. 

The image was displayed during September at locations including Liverpool Central Station, Leeds Big Screen, Manchester Stadium, and featured in the Gay Times.

 

NOT GOING BACK TO NORMAL: A DISABLED ARTISTS’ MANIFESTO

October 2020, ongoing. A piece of work created for the call, Risky Business, was accepted into both the website and print editions of the manifesto. 

 

DASH ARTS ONLINE PROTEST ART EXHIBITION

Summer 2020, ongoing. Work-in-Progress panel from Blanket Fort featuring work from The Staying Inn, an online pub for disabled people. I delivered a talk about my practice at a Staying Inn event and received patches from their community which are displayed on the DASH site.

BLANKET FORT IN LOCKDOWN

March - August 2020. Installed the Blanket Fort project beneath my loft bed and held several live streaming events. Posted craft packs to members of the public who requested one and then received patches posted back to me which covered two large fabric panels.

This project was particularly successful when adapted to the lockdown restrictions as people appreciated the opportunity to make a contribution while unable to leave their homes.

 

WORKERS’ RIGHTS PROJECT (STELLA ROONEY), POP UP @ NEON FESTIVAL ACTIVITY ROOM

7 November 2019. Zine and badge making relating to the Timex strike & other issues. Public engagement pop up as part of the Activity Room programme. Also ongoing technical support of Rooney’s dissertation project.

June 2019. Final self-directed projects for students on the Foundation Degree in Fine Art Practice at Nottingham College.

Born Naked - sculpture, archive of every item of clothing owned (approx 400). Provided image for posters.

 

RAISED BEDS: GROUP SHOW, LAKESIDE ARTS, NOTTINGHAM

February 2019. Austerity Board.

Working within identical square “beds” each student responded to the theme of Domestic Interiors and the concurrent Harold Gilman and  Camden Town Group exhibition.

YOU NEVER WASH UP AFTER YOURSELF: SOLO EXHIBITION, DERBY

October 2017. Pop up gallery in vacant space featuring my final piece from the Foundation Diploma. Installation, ink drawings and showcase for up-cycled furniture. Free tea and coffee served to the public.

END OF YEAR SHOW, FOUNDATION DIPLOMA: CENTRAL COLLEGE, NOTTINGHAM

June 2017. First iteration of You Never Wash Up After Yourself, featuring an indoor mock museum and open air installation of the burial chamber on the college’s Clifton campus.
